Rumored Oppo Find X6: What We Know So Far

The Oppo Find X6 Pro is the latest flagship smartphone from the Chinese tech giant, boasting a range of impressive specs and features. But how does it differ from its non-Pro counterpart, the Oppo Find X6?

First and foremost, it's worth noting that the Oppo Find X6 range is currently exclusive to the Chinese market, with no plans for an international launch at this time.

In terms of design and screen, both the Oppo Find X6 and X6 Pro feature premium glass-and-metal constructions with large camera housings on the rear. However, the X6 Pro sets itself apart with the option of an eco-leather finish covering two-thirds of the rear, while the top segment is plated in aluminum. The X6, on the other hand, features a glass rear regardless of the finish you opt for.

Both models sport large circular camera housings, but the X6 Pro features finer details such as a notched outer bezel that mimics classic SLRs and an orange dot as a nod to the alignment dots on lenses. The X6 Pro also boasts Corning's Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and IP68 water resistance, while the standard X6 has lesser display protection and IP64 dust and water resistance.

When it comes to displays, both models feature 120Hz AMOLED panels that deliver vibrant colors and deep blacks. However, the X6 Pro sports a larger 6.82-inch display with a higher resolution of 1440 x 3168 and a top brightness of 2500nits, compared to the X6's 6.74-inch display with a resolution of 1240 x 2772 and a top brightness of 1450nits. The X6 Pro also includes LTPO technology, which allows the display to drop down to as little as 1Hz to save battery life.

In terms of cameras, both models feature triple camera systems with 50MP main, 50MP ultrawide, and 50MP periscope lenses on the rear. However, the X6 Pro's camera system is arguably the main reason to opt for the high-end model over its cheaper sibling (and many competing flagships).

The X6 Pro's main 50MP camera features a large 1-inch sensor, combined with an f/1.75 aperture and advanced OIS capabilities, which allows it to capture more light and deliver improved images both in well-lit and low-light conditions. The ultrawide camera boasts a 1/1.56in sensor, paired with an f/2.2 aperture and a 110-degree FOV. Finally, the periscope telephoto lens offers 3x optical zoom and digital zoom up to 120x, with a 1/1.56in sensor and an f/2.6 aperture.

While the X6's periscope lens is identical to that of the X6 Pro, its main and ultrawide lenses feature smaller sensors and less advanced OIS capabilities. That being said, both models feature excellent camera systems that are sure to impress.

Overall, the Oppo Find X6 Pro is an impressive flagship smartphone that offers top-of-the-line specs and features. While it's currently only available in the Chinese market, we'll be keeping a close eye on any news of an international release.
